Founder and clinical director of The Culver Counseling Center, 1989-1995

This was the first center of its kind established in Los Angeles. Along with being a community mental health center, we specialized in preparing parents for conception and birth. We were considered experts in attachment disorders, adoption counseling for adults and families, abortion issues, loss and grief counseling, and adult and childhood sexual abuse. We offered support to alternative family structures and supported gay and lesbian parents. In addition we specialized in culturally diverse families by employing a multicultural staff of licensed therapists to reflect the ethnicity of Los Angeles.

Oral Examiner for the California Board of Behavioral Examiners Licensing for Marriage, Family and Child Therapist, 1987-1992

Scored candidates for the oral licensing exam for the State of California. Approximately 2% of licensed therapists in California were employed and trusted for this position.
